The 1842 Society celebrates our history whilst looking ahead to our future, and was established to recognise the generosity and support of those who choose to leave a gift to the School in their Will.
Founded by Saint Madeleine Sophie Barat in 1842 as the Convent of the Sacred Heart, Woldingham is one of the oldest girls’ schools in the UK. Your legacy will ensure it continues to thrive, providing the very best education for future generations of Woldingham girls.
Many of our alumnae have already chosen to make this pledge and we are extremely grateful for their vital support.
Pledging a gift through your Will is an effective way to leave a gift free of tax if you are a UK taxpayer and potentially reducing Inheritance Tax, whilst leaving an enduring legacy for a cause that is meaningful to you.
