Year 10 students look to the future with the help of Woldingham alumnae

Mr Rob Philbin, Careers Coordinator

Year 10 students focused on the future on Tuesday 30 April, with a THRIVE session designed to equip them with insights and guidance on their journey towards future careers. Students had the opportunity to engage with four Woldingham alumnae who are leading successful careers in the fields of law, fashion, wellbeing, and media.

Our guest speakers shared their expertise, experience and advice, both specific to their sector and more generally about the world of work, emphasising the significance of employability skills, the value of gaining relevant work experience and of forming long lasting connections through the Woldingham alumnae network.

Thank you to our speakers, Sophie Matthews (1997), chief marketing officer at GROUNDTRUTH, Katie Miles (2011), development producer at Talesmith, Victoria McGowan (2013), associate solicitor at Linklaters and Sarah Thum-Bonanno (2001), psychologist, coach and facilitator at The Wellbeing Project.  We are very grateful for their time and expertise.
